Dream Weapons present: THE SYNTHETIC CHRYSALIS C60 by MVM

https://yadi.sk/d/1j0x2tde87PHWA

For the first time in ages we proudly present: a guest mix! As you’ll hear and see our friend MVM has his own distinct voice and esthetics - but still somehow fits in perfectly:

-I have always been drawn to music in films, and especially the not-so-great ones; Primarily from the early to mid-eighties, which are often synth-laden. The music has this great organic quality. “The Synthetic Chrysalis”, as the name suggests, tries to encapsulate that (though not synth-oriented). And as the life from a chrysalis to a butterfly slowly evolves, this mix follows the same path. The sculpture on the cover is by the late great Ken Price - a favorite artist of mine for a long time -MVM

A

Marc Barreca - Community Life
Doxa Sinistra -  The Other Stranger
Diseño Corbusier - Meta Metalic
Amedeo Tommasi: Calma Apparente

Demolition Group - You Better Stay Alive

B

Zazou-Nodland-Lema - Stranger in the New Light
Izzanelli & Samy Wathson - Givre Astral
Anton Ignorant - Banal
Ströer Duo - Vietnam
Yoran - Montparnasse
Lena Platonos - Erotes to Kalokairi (loves in the summer)

Dream Weapons present: KAI TAK DESCENT C60 by Hong Kong Soul Radio

New guest mix for you all. This time from none other than Hong Kong Soul Radio:

"Hong Kong’s cultural identity was formed in the late 70s and 80s as Cantopop and Hong Kong films (including their soundtracks) became a cultural dominant force in Asia and Chinese communities around the world. Early Cantopop was hugely influenced by Western folk / pop of the 60s, Japanese pop / enka of the 60s and 70s, and Mandarin pop of the 40s and 50s. Dream Weapons present: MY DEAR LIFE C60 by Glockenspiel

For the first time in ages, we present a guestmix. Big thanks to mr Glockenspiel for his contribution!

- Sadhu Sadhu

“My Dear Life is an eclectic mix of library music, French baroque pop, some obscure acid folk and some Beatlesque tunes. It makes for a dreamy and at times almost sacral listen. There’s not really a cohesive theme here, but I usually prefer it that way. You don’t really know what’s coming next, and that keeps you from drifting off and forget about what you listen to. Hope you enjoy this mix and share it with others.”

https://www.mediafire.com/download/4l3c0ssdsy70b4a/FILLING_THE_INFINITE_BETWEEN_TWO_SOULS_C120_DRMWPN21.zip

"Ajay Saggar has been immersed in music since he was a baby. His Indian parents filled the house with Bollywood soundtracks from the 50s,60s and 70s. On moving to England in 1976 at the age of 11, Ajay was spoon fed punk rock by John Peel through his nightly radio show. He started buying records shortly afterwards and has never stopped. His musical palette has expanded vastly since then and music was and is his life.

He plays in the bands KING CHAMPION SOUNDS, and DEUTSCHE ASHRAM. He has worked as a sound engineer for bands like My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr., Mogwai, Sleater-Kinney, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Aerial M, Mum, The For Carnation, Sebadoh, etc etc. Currently employed at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, music is everywhere!"

Dream Weapons present: ANTISEPTICALLY CLEAN C90 by Dave W

https://www.mediafire.com/download/bg27y762guuzqlx/ANTISEPTICALLY_CLEAN_C90_DRMWPN_010.zip

This guestmix was made by Dave from the New York space-rockers White Hills. A regular face on the touring routes all over the world, he has amassed an impressive record collection over the years and is treating us to a peek inside his head

"From the time I was in high school I've always cherished making cassette mixes for friends. It was a way to turn friends on to music I'm into, and create something special and meaningful for them. When Dream Weapons asked if I'd be interested in putting a mix together for them, it was a no brainer,  With this mix I present to the listener a C90 look into my record collection. Most of the tracks I  digitized myself. Some of the names may be familiar (i.e. James T. Pursey otherwise known as Jimmy Pursey from Sham69 and Brian Brain aka Martin Atkins from PiL) but seen in a different light from the work they are known for. Hopefully there's a track or two you've never heard before in which  turns you on to a new artist and causes you to seek out their output in a way that supports their art. In the end that is the point of these things, isn't it? So, sit back and enjoy the ebb and flow…"
