Spring is here! Southward, Sunward, Starward, and Skyward* were four norwegian-owned caribbean cruise ships that all started operating out of PortMiami in the late 60's-early 70’s. Southwards in this context means any musical tradition originating somewhere south of Miami.
Plenty of sunshine, dance and love - but with the latter comes heartbreak and desperation + there’s a couple of protest songs.
