Dream Weapons present: WHAT IN THE WORLD C90

UPDATE: I noticed I had two versions of the same song: Ali Beirut's Orientales - Chifti and used one on Age of Gold, and the other on this. So I uploaded an alternative / similiar song for you (with the same songlength). Just press download, prove that you're not a robot and replace Chifti with: Anastacios Smirniotis Orchestra - Zeus Nitsi (Sultan's Dream) (with edited/updated cover art attached to the songfile)

An Asian/African/Eastern European mixture of songs and tunes that I think complement each other. The main ingedient that somehow make it work, is always the folk element. Local traditions from around the world is the unifying theme. In times like these, isn’t that kind of nice to think about? And the actual music is all kinds of lovely as well -Moahaha

Dream Weapons present: DESERT CARAVAN C90

It was only a couple of days ago I stumbled upon this dense, 19th century Orientalist painting by Charles-Théodore Frère. It affected me. I felt the intense heat and tasted the sand in my mouth. This is a soundtrack for the cover art and sonically a follow-up to my «east meets west» 2016-mix Orient-Tneiro. Back then I wrote «Oriental jazz-vibes and slow 'n sensuous bellydance grooves. Unlike an Exotica-album your inner imagined landscapes won't be of the sea or the jungle, but the desert and the savannah». I wouldn’t last for a day in a habitat like that, but I can listen to this kind of music all day every day. -Moahaha

20ft Radio & Dream Weapons present: WE TRAVEL THE EARTHWAYS C60

One dope hour of worldjazz/psychfolk-grooves from the glorious era of corduroy bell-bottoms and swirly paisley prints. Imagine yourself in dry, earthy, sunburned landscapes riding on camels, elephants and on horseback across sand dunes, the savannah, the steppes and praries - or in a densely moist jungle, while riverboat traveling through the backwaters etc… Something like that. If any of this resembles your daily life already - just picture yourself on a reindeer sleigh ride through northern Scandinavia instead. Either way it’s the mindtrip you sorely need right now! -Moahaha

A trip to the «mystical orient» much like I imagined - or dreamt it was like during my early childhood days. Dream Weapons present: SUN MOON STARS C60

https://yadi.sk/d/Jgln-6ps3ZwKRV

I had planned for you to post a pitch black and dissonant mix but today I didn’t feel like adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Instead I present to you:

-A shamisen/jazz fusion groover followed by some vintage Rocksteady, Bollywood, Lollywood, Bellydance/Oriental-favorites and so fourth. No actual concept but a looser follow up to former «world» mixes such as Earth’s Orbit, A Traveller’s Tale, Faraway Dances and One Last Dance. Some transitions from one tune to another may not be the most graceful ever but... well its for free!

Dream weapons present: FARAWAY DANCES C90

It may not be far away from where you’re situated but its far away from my point of view. I could claim that here's my "Intercontinental Trip Through Sound» or something like that. Which of course means: a bunch of tunes from all over the place that has no real relation to each other. Anyway here's ninety minutes of old and new favorites mainly originating either from somewhere on the African continent or the middle-and far eastern parts of Asia.

Summer seems to have arrived and this is very much a «world party» mix of sorts, so I deem it fit to round off joining in on the call from the syrian banger Qoum Ya Nadim - or in english Get up, drinking companion!

- Moahaha

West mirroring east - east mirroring west - with musical influences going back and fourth featuring artist from both «worlds». There's an oriental jazz-vibe throughout but I've included everything from psychedelic ragarock-fusion or whatever-to slow 'n sensuous bellydance grooves.
