No, I’ve not compiled the musical equivalent to a volcanic eruption. It’s closer to the polished rocks or handmade figures made from the volcanic glass that naturally occurs when lava rapidly cools. Yes, it’s another mix of fusions between the Jazz and various styles of music that seemingly everyone was into during the 1970’s. Sometimes resembling World Music, sometimes spiritual, often groovin’, always radiating warmth. Humankind at its very best -Moahaha

DeleteGreat way to kick off the new year. Thanks, Moahaha
ReplyDeleteI was hoping it would be - thanks Mantaray:)
DeleteThanks again, and again, and again!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome x3:)
DeleteThanks Moahaha and a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year zipper!
Deletein the past your compilations were more varied in musical styles, now it's just jazz, which makes it less interesting in my opinion, no acrimony
ReplyDeleteWell I love jazz of all kinds, and it's easier to discover and present unheard music in that "style" than in most, or all other genres. But what you claim is still not even remotely true. Just scroll down the two last pages and do a count. I compile these for my own pleasure and joy first and foremost. What I share is where I’m at, so to speak. Nothing is planned out. If you think there’s too much of one thing, or whether you feel like checking my shares out or not, is secondary.
DeleteDude wow, ive been subscribed to your youtube for years, never been to this blog. Absolutely amazing, and giving us the files as well. Youre a gift!!! Keep being you. Much love
ReplyDeleteHi Nate and welcome! Thanks for the kind words. The Youtube channel is really just an afterthought. We (well, its really just been "I" for a few years) always choose a song/track to upload from each mix that isn't already available on Youtube. But our hope is that the listener will click on the link and end up here. Glad you eventually did:)
DeleteI've been following this blog almost from the beginning and i could say that you have non explicit, maybe unconscious, "periods" (more jazzy, more spacey, happier, darker...). I embrace them all with infinite gratitude, the clue of this wonderful ark of exotic treasures that you have created with deep generosity is precisely the strong "personality" of your mixes. Don`t change anything, please continue sharing what you enjoy, it's great as it is, Moahaha... keep your mind free and our asses will follow!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the warming words xxx. I can never go against myself or where my listening/discoveries are taking me. What I'm deeply into for the time being has always come and gone in waves. This blog is like sharing self-portraits - in music. I might compile a joyous mix because I want to feel happy, and maybe I need to be in a good place to listen to darker tinged music. So not so much portraits in the "these songs tells you exactly how I'm feeling right now"-sense. But in total, I think anyone whose listened to a lot of my mixes, knows me somehow. Anyway, I'm not done sharing just yet:)
